Submerged

"SUBMERGED" it is the result of a need for knowledge and experience of new materials and new techniques. It was a painting that emerged spontaneously, without a defined plan. With the paint leftovers from the previously completed painting, I took the opportunity to cover a new canvas. They started out as just drained colors, and between the marks left by the water and some brush strokes already intact, organic forms emerged. Little by little, forests, sugarcane fields appeared, and meanwhile some ears and yellow petals. A friend of mine referred to this painting as “the bottom of the sea”. A theme that never occurred to me in the development of this painting. So I decided to name it “Submerged”.
