ORANGE AFTERNOON

ORANGE AFTERNOON belongs to a series of paintings that result from the abstract and synthesized interpretation of diffuse landscapes, mostly sunsets, the so-called “golden-hour”, a fleeting moment in which the reflection of the setting light on the surface of water results in golden reflections that fade between heaven and sea. 

It is a mixed technique resulting from the experience of new materials and new techniques. It was a painting that emerged spontaneously, without a defined plan. With the leftover paint from the previously finished painting, I took the opportunity to cover a new canvas. They started out as just undefined horizontal brushstrokes, and between the marks left by the water and some already intact brushstrokes, golden streaks appear.
