ESTOMBAR, or “Tom's city” is a childhood landscape. My grandmother Maria spent the summer here. Every year we came here. Estombar has always been our Algarve. An Algarve village better protected from the hustle and bustle of the beach and fishing activities. Around it, the lines and planes of water, cultivated lands, the springs and caves of Ibne-Ammar.
